Imagination and Death
Imagination is one of humanity’s most powerful traits. It allows planning, empathy, creativity, and invention, but it also allows fantasy to feel real. The same mental ability that lets a person picture a future harvest also lets them picture invisible beings, unseen realms, and continued existence beyond death. Early humans told stories around fires not just to entertain but to make sense of danger and loss. Stories organised fear into narratives with beginnings, causes, and outcomes. Random death became meaningful death, tragedy became intention, and helplessness became part of a larger plan.
