Weird and Religious
Certain Islamic traditions describe that on the Day of Judgement, death itself will be brought in the form of a ram and slaughtered in front of everyone. After that, death will no longer exist, and people will remain forever in either paradise or hell. Death is treated almost like a living being that can be killed.

In the name of religion
1994, Rwanda. Christian majority context. While mainly ethnic, church spaces were massacre sites and some clergy were complicit. Extremists manipulated Christian language about obedience and order, using religious authority structures to legitimise control, while others resisted and sheltered victims.
Fact
In Zoroastrianism, human beings are seen as having free will, and Zoroastrianism teaches that individuals must choose between truth and deceit.
Ignorant but not stupid
The ignorant believers are not stupid. They are conditioned. They are taught that understanding is optional and obedience is essential. This conditioning is most effective when reinforced socially, emotionally, and morally. Leaving belief then feels like betrayal rather than correction. Religion does not collapse when people ask hard questions. It collapses when they read the answers for themselves. The continued survival of belief is therefore not a mystery. It is the predictable result of a system that thrives on partial knowledge, controlled interpretation, and the quiet fear that full understanding might cost too much.
Quote of the day
“Belief in a cruel God makes a cruel man.” Thomas Paine.
